Why support?

Teachers, childcare provider, and educator are the unsung heroes of our society, shaping young minds and nurturing future leaders. They inspire curiosity, instill values, and provide the foundation for a brighter future. Teachers are the radiant flowers of our educational journey, illuminating the path to knowledge, growth, and a brighter future.

The proceeds of this fund raiser will support Children, our most precious resource.  In Moore County 16% of children live in poverty, 17% are food insecure, 12% have severe housing problems and barely 50% are on track for college and career readiness.

By dedicating a flower in honor of your teacher, child care provider, or any educator who has made a difference in your life, your donation will be used to provide resources to equip young children in Moore County with the social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten and beyond.

What's included with your support?

You may honor a teacher, childcare provider, or any educator by dedicating a flower for a suggested donation of $20. We aim to fill The Village Chapel Green over the holidays, beautiful by day and even more beautiful by night.

  • We will deliver your heartfelt message to each esteemed teacher via email, acting as your messenger.

  • Our "PfCF's Honor Roll of Teachers 2023" will be prominently showcased on our website.

  • Visitors to our flower garden can easily access this honor roll by scanning a QR code, providing a comprehensive list of all the deserving honorees.

  • Additionally, this distinguished list of loved and admired teachers will be featured in The Pilot Newspaper on Christmas Eve.

For our out-of-town honorees, we will also share the Teachers' Holiday Garden on our social media platforms, ensuring that their recognition reaches a wider audience.

*Flower dedications must be made before December 17, 2023 to be published in The Pilot Newspaper

Your dedication will support:

Early Education Excellence: With your support, we can develop and implement innovative early childhood education programs that are accessible to all children in Moore County. These programs are customized to meet the specific needs of children aged 0 to 5, by nurturing their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, equipping them for a successful journey through kindergarten and beyond.

With your support, we can intensify our commitment to the professional development of our educators, continually assessing and enhancing our educational methods and curriculum to maintain a high standard of care and education for our children. Additionally, we can provide financial supplements in the form of bonuses to family child care home providers, teachers, and directors.

Literacy Support: Your support will have a profound impact on our community, where many children lack access to books. It will enable us to supply these children with books, nurturing a lifelong passion for reading. Our early literacy programs equip children with the resources and guidance needed to develop strong reading skills from an early age.

Comprehensive Health and Family Resources: Your generosity empowers parents and caregivers with essential tools and support to actively and positively contribute to their child's development. Your support will continue to help us enable the presence of a registered nurse dedicated to ensuring health and safety in childcare facilities and provides children with ready access to locally sourced fruits and vegetables.
