What is NC Pre-K?
Moore County Schools offers NC Pre-K, a free preschool program for children whose families meet eligibility requirements. We are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Who is eligible to apply?
Your child must be 4 years old by August 31, 2021, be a Moore County resident and meet one or more of the following: low income; chronic health condition; limited English proficiency; a current IEP; parent is active duty military; no prior preschool experience.
How do I apply?
Mail in your completed application and back-up documents. Click here to download the application packet and detailed instructions.
Make an appointment at Partners for Children & Families office by contacting us at email@example.com or 910-949-4045.
You will need to submit copies of the following documents with your application:
- child's birth certificate and Social Security or Medicaid card
- parent's photo ID
- verification of parents' income (2020 tax records or a month of pay stubs)
- proof of Moore County residency (driver's license, utility bill or rental agreement)
- if applicable, documentation of chronic health conditions, military service, or IEP
