This series will be offered together as one training to *Meet DCDEE Health & Safety requirements for 10A NCAC 09.1102 (b) (1,3-8) and 10A NCAC 09.1703 (c) (1,3-8). This series does not meet the requirement for EPR training 10A NCAC 09.0607 / .1714 or NC Playground Safety training 10A NCAC 09.1102(

About the event
In this full day workshop participants will discover the first steps to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for children and adults while addressing seven (7) of the required DCDEE health and safety training areas. Participants will have opportunities to learn through large and small group discussions, engage in hands-on learning activities, and be giving individual reflection time on each of the following topics: Be A Germ Buster: Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases; Understanding Allergies, Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis; Maintaining a Safe Indoor & Outdoor Environment; Emergency Preparedness and Response in Child Care Review; Safe Handling, Storage, and Removal of Hazardous Material; Field Trip Safety; and Period of Purple Crying: Abusive Head Trauma. Please bring your own lunch. 6 CHC's will be awarded.
