Child Care Subsidy

Did you know that most families in Moore County cannot afford the full cost of child care? Low-income families and families with more than one child have to pay a high percentage of their income for child care.

The Child Care Subsidy program assists parents in paying for child care if they are either working or attending college.

Facts about the program:

  • Families must have a current need (work, school, developmental, crisis) and be income eligible to receive child care assistance

  • Child Care providers are paid directly

  • Services provided are based upon the budget and not necessarily guaranteed.

To obtain more information or apply for the program contact a member of the Child Care Subsidy team at Moore County Social Services at (910) 947-2436.
