Kid-Friendly Kitchen Restaurant
 
Create an imaginary restaurant with your child. Create a menu together, assign roles (host, server, chef) and discuss whom you would invite as your "customers." You could even take a trip to the grocery story to find your recipes' ingredients. This is a great activity to explain why you would make certain choices and to use lots of details when describing menu items.
