DCDEE Memo: February 9, 2021 REMINDER: Enrollment Needed for Licensed Child Care Centers in the Clean Water for Carolina Kids Program to Complete Required 15A NCAC 18A .2816 Testing

Dear child care providers,

If you have not enrolled in the Clean Water for Carolina Kids program yet, you should have received an email recently to sign up for a pre-enrollment webinar.  This email is legitimate and North Carolina partnered with RTI International to support free testing for all licensed child care centers in the state. Participation in this testing is required by April 1, 2021, to comply with the new lead testing rule (15A NCAC 18A .2816).

Please view the initial message from the Clean Water for Carolina Kids program or register for one of the required webinars at https://rtiorg.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_dUo_XtuqQOOvBoiONHs_7g. They are offered twice a week. Choose only one webinar to attend. During the 30 minute session, the webinar will overview:

  1. How to enroll
  2. How to sample, and
  3. How to ship your samples.

Staff will also be available to answer any lingering questions or comments live after the training presentation. Once you complete the webinar, the access code will be shared to enroll at www.cleanwaterforcarolinakids.org. You need this code to enroll.

Thank you,

Dr. Kristi Snuggs
