DCDEE Memo: October 7, 2020 Follow-Up on CCDF Health & Safety Trainings

As a follow-up to the news blast sent September 1, 2020, ProSolutions Training no longer offers the free 24-hour North Carolina health and safety online training package. ProSolutions trainings are still an option for receiving training, but you will need to pay for the course(s) selected. There is no cause for concern if you have completed some but not all of the ProSolutions package. As an account user in ProSolutions, an individual will be able to access and print completed course certificates, as well as, a transcript of the completed courses even after September 30, 2020. For inquiries specific to ProSolutions training (i.e. transcripts, certificates, trainings, etc.), please contact them directly at 800-939-9694 to request assistance.
The completion of the required health and safety trainings may be accessed through various learning formats/platforms. They can be taken in a face-to-face classroom setting, through pre-recorded distance learning, college coursework or continuing education unit credits, or real-time virtual training. Regardless of the method selected for receiving training, the North Carolina Division of Child Development & Early Education (DCDEE) recommends verifying with the training agency/trainer, prior to registering for a session, that the training(s) you are considering have received prior approval by the Division.
DCDEE is excited to announce that through collaborative efforts with the NC Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center, free online health and safety training (specific to North Carolina requirements) are available through the DCDEE Moodle learning platform by logging in with your username and password (same as NCID).  First time users will need to request an individual account.
If you do not have an NCID, you will need to visit ncid.nc.gov and request an individual account. You must have a valid email address to create an NCID. Prior to requesting an individual account, please review the step-by-step instructions for "Getting your NCID Username and Password".
