Two FREE resiliency training opportunities!

In the last year, we have been working diligently to educate the community on how to prevent and heal the impacts of adverse childhood experiences. Many of you have attended a screening of the movie "Resilience" and/or have taken part in other local efforts to better support the needs of children and families who have experienced trauma. We thank you for your service!

I am excited to share that Partners for Children & Families is offering two FREE resiliency training opportunities that offer practical strategies on ways you can help children and families "bounce forward" and prevent the long-term impacts of toxic stress. A two-day Reconnect for Resiliency (RfR) training will be held Thursday, May 23rd and Friday, May 24th; this will be complemented by a one-day Resiliency Champion leadership training for interested RfR “graduates” on Monday, June 24thTo attend this Champion training, you must attend (or have previously attended) the full 2-day Reconnect for Resiliency training.

Click here to download the application for participation, which includes additional details regarding training content and logistics. All applications are due by Friday, May 10.

We have a limited number of scholarships available to early educators working in licensed child care who are accepted into the training. These scholarship funds will cover the cost of applying for your CEU credit and, if needed, to cover the cost of using a substitute teacher while you attend the training.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I will be out of the office at a conference next week, but will be available by email at I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
